Day 1.

Arrival to Kiev. Meeting with representatives of the hosting company. Transfer to 3* hotel. Leisure time (additional excursions – at the request, depending upon the time of arrival).

Day 2.

Breakfast in hotel. Sightseeing tour across Kiev (4 hours)

During this excursion you will see all the main monuments and places of interest of Kiev. St Sophia Cathedral, Mikhailovskiy Cathedral, “Golden Gates”, Opera and Ballet House, the House with Chimers, Maidan Nezalezhnosti, Motherland Monument, Andriivsky uzviz etc.

After the lunch – visit to Pechersk Lavra.

Day 3.

Breakfast in hotel. Excursion to the National Museum of Ancient Architecture in Pereyaslav-Khmelnitskiy.

The museum in the open air represents in details the architecture and traditions of the Ukrainians from the most ancient times, i.e. IX to XIX century. Inter alia, it has a collection of windmills dated XVII – XIX centuries and the rests of the buildings dated X-XI centuries, as well as the constructions dated XVI century: Church of St. Mikhail, and Voznesenskiy monastery.

After the return – leisure time.

Day 4.

Breakfast in hotel.

A whole day tour to Sofievka dendropark. Lunch is included into the tour price.

Sofievka park in Uman is rightfully considered as one of the best landscape parks in Europe. On almost a 170 hectares territory one may see amazing landscapes, exotic plants, ancient sculptures, ponds, cascades, fountains and stone grottos.

According to the park designers, Sofievka is an illustration to Iliad and Odyssey poems by Homer, each composition or architectural form contains a certain idea, expresses a myth or some events. Here you can see Styx river, Tarpeian Lock, sculptures of numerous ancient Greek heroes, writers and philosophers.

Sofievka part construction was commenced in 1796. The explosive works were carried out, the large stones were prepared for grottos and waterfalls; from Asia, Italia and Crimea the exotic trees and plants were brought; in Italy they ordered the marble sculptures of antique gods.

Day 5.

Breakfast in hotel. Excursion to Kosoi Caponier fortress-museum.

Its construction commenced back in XI century from the picket fence around Pechersk Lavra. Later, the citizens of Kiev replaced it with a heavy-duty stone fortress, which was demolished in 1249 during Mongol-Tarars invasion headed by Khan Batyi. However, you can still see its main piece – Troitskaya nadvratnaya church (XI century) The next stage of the Kievan fortress development became a construction in 1875 of the world-largest Lysogorskiy Fort with the total area of almost 1.2 km2 to protect the approaches to Kiev from south, which was preserved till nowadays like it was before.

The expositions of Kosoi and Second Caponier will tell you about the history of the Ukrainian and Kiev fortification from the times of Tripoli culture till the modern times.

Breakfast in hotel.

Check-out from hotel. Transfer to the airport.
